About the Role Join our dedicated Multidisciplinary Allied Health team! Our Speech Pathologist role offers hands-on experience, professional development, and structured training through a supported induction process. You’ll be guided by an onsite supervisor who is committed to your growth and a compassionate management team that prioritizes high-quality care for our clients. Our modern, well-equipped therapy centres provide access to a collaborative support team, including a supportive senior staff and multidisciplinary professionals. We deliver therapy across various settings. Within our centres, residential aged care facilities, and the broader community, striving for holistic, person-centred care. With a team of over 90 professionals across our Sinnamon Park and Chermside campuses, you’ll collaborate with experts in Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing, and more all dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for aged care and disability clients. Key Role Accountabilities: As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide customer- focused services including: Assessment of customer speech, language and/or swallow, and development of individual treatment plans and goals to address deficits in these areas Delivery of high-quality intervention and advice Regular review of customer treatment plans and goals Assisting customers to achieve optimum outcomes and safety in communication and swallow Provide instruction, supervision and education to customers, support workers and other carers as required Identify opportunities to provide other cross disciplinary services which may be of benefit to the customer Ensure that the customer is an active participant in the development and review of treatment goals and planning About You Demonstrated ability and proficiency in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice and swallowing difficulties of community dwelling customers presenting with a wide range of needs, including aged care, disability, and health and wellbeing Demonstrated ability and proficiency in the timely receipting, appropriate documenting and accurate record keeping into computerised programs High level of verbal and written communication skills particularly in establishing and maintaining rapport with staff, customers and their carers What makes a difference for us!
