About the role Are you a passionate early childhood professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners? Our kindergarten is proud to be part of the Great Start to Kindergarten initiative , offering free access to 3 year olds in the year before formal kindergarten. We're seeking a dedicated Lead Educator to join our warm and welcoming team and help create a nurturing, inspiring environment for children as they begin their educational journey. Our Sessional Kindergarten enables children to enjoy indoor and outdoor natural play areas with rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources. You will also be working alongside 2 other teachers to share the workload. Our Kindergarten caters for up to 22 children per day, with operating hours from 8:30am to 2:30pm during school terms. After the school term ends in December 2025 there will be opportunities to work across our other centres including Long Day Care. Duties Design and deliver a creative, inclusive program that celebrates diversity and supports children of all abilities. Document and reflect on each child’s growth and development , ensuring their wellbeing and safety. Collaborate with a passionate team to provide high-quality care and education aligned with the National Quality Framework. A culture of professional support. Skills and Experience As an experienced Lead Educator, you will have: Relevant Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications. A sound knowledge of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, Early Years Learning Framework v.2.0 and innovative practice. Experience developing a rich curriculum utilising current pedagogy. Ability to have supportive and respectful conversations with colleagues and families to collaborate on an individual learning program for each child. Effective time management skills, including the flexibility to adapt as the daily environment changes. Commitment to engaging in intentional critical reflection to continually build practice and outcomes.
