About the role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck Maintenance Technician to join our growing team at Tree Planting and Watering in O'Connor, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently to support our tree planting and watering services. What you'll be doing Performing routine maintenance and inspections on our fleet of trucks, including oil changes, brake checks, and general servicing Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, electrical problems, and other vehicle malfunctions Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair work completed Coordinating with the operations team to ensure the fleet is well-maintained and ready for daily use Providing recommendations for vehicle upgrades or replacements to improve efficiency and safety Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards What we're looking for Relevant trade qualification or certificate in automotive mechanics or a related field 3-5 years of experience in a similar truck maintenance or repair role, preferably within the construction or transport industry Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues Familiarity with maintenance schedules and record-keeping for commercial vehicles Excellent communication skills to liaise with the operations team and provide clear progress updates A commitment to safety and a demonstrated understanding of relevant regulations Be able to carry out various roles when required What we offer At Tree Planting and Watering, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and engaging work environment.
