This is an opportunity to join the EPIC Support Services team supporting Adults, Youth and Children living with Brain disorders eg (Complex Mental Health, Autism, ABI, Neurological conditions, Dementia, Huntington's) as well as physical disabilities to lead meaningful lives. EPIC is dedicated to working with vulnerable people and making sure that they don’t slip through the cracks. We currently have immediate vacancies for qualified and experienced M ental health/Disability Support Workers to support our participants in our Geelong living in the community and in Supported Independent Living Accommodation (SIL) properties, to help them achieve their NDIS goals, live independently, and participate in their chosen community. Our participants have various support needs, and depending on the participant, your role as a Mental Health and Disability Support Worker may involve assistance to live independently , access the community, personal care support, medication assistance, cooking, cleaning, attending activities and appointments, maintaining relationships and transportation. The Mental Health/Disability Support Worker is a vital role assisting participants to achieve their NDIS plan goals. We support people for a variety of shifts 7 days a week, daytime, evening and overnight shifts. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications Must have experience working with individuals with complex mental health conditions (Dissociative Identity Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality, Bi Polar) Must have experience working with individuals with challenging behaviours and Behavioural Support Plans Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health Support/Disability Cert in AOD will be highly regarded Current Police and Working with Children Check NDIS Worker Screening Check First Aid/CPR 2 professional reference checks Current full driver's license and a reliable, insured car Commitment to providing exceptional support together with great communication skills We offer: Variety of shifts available A flexible and supportive work environment Training and career progression opportunities All staff must obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencement in the role.
