Nunkuwarrin Yunti is a Child Safe Organisation. Description The responsibilities of the Work Health & Safety and Risk Officer will include: Support in the development and implementation of Policies. Collaborate with the Document Officer to formulate and implement Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and risk management policies and procedures that align with legislative requirements. Conduct routine reviews and updates of safety and risk policies to guarantee compliance with current legal standards and industry best practices. Skills And Experiences Essential: Relevant WHS and Risk management certifications (minimum - Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety) and/or a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ongoing learning, including actively maintaining a contemporary skillset. Strong knowledge of WHS and risk management legislation and regulations in Australia. EDRMS (Electronic Document Records Management System) experience Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships Meticulous attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Desirable : Experience in Clinical Governance and various accreditation surveys such as NSMHS, RACGP, ASES, ASQA Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and health programs. Experience working in other Not-for-Profit organisations.
