What's the role? This is a 12 month Fixed term contract role where you will design and implement advanced business intelligence tools and analytics frameworks that enable the commercial finance team and other stakeholders to make informed decisions. By interpreting complex financial and operational data, you will identify trends and insights that support improvements across key performance areas including revenue growth, cost efficiency, process optimization, and quality enhancement. Responsibilities : Reporting, Analytics & Data Proactively deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders through BI and analytics tools. Work with stakeholders to scope, develop and implement robust solutions with a focus on automation and self-serve capabilities. Contribute to the stability of solutions during key reporting periods by debugging and working across teams to resolve root cause issues. Support maintenance & enhancement of existing data models, processes and dashboard reporting. Work with IT data services to design data lakes and data models based on business requirements Ensure solutions are properly documented on agreed enterprise platforms Change Management Work with the Senior analyst to ensure new solutions are rolled out and land with stakeholders with the appropriate training, documentation and support channels in place. Increase data literacy across the Finance community to bolster use of solutions and buy in for future projects Innovation Champion new AI/Analytics solutions and proactively suggest initiatives that will add value to the organisation Contribute to working groups and roadmap initiatives including presentation of ideas Who are you? You are highly skilled in BI tools (preferably Looker, LookerML, Looker Studio), SQL, Python and Alteryx with proven skill in writing and executing optimised queries in Google BigQuery. Any experience with machine learning is desired. You are a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. You can design, develop, maintain scaled, automated reports and dashboards that will support commercial finance teams with their key stakeholders across strategic growth deliverables. You have a proven track record working on initiatives that start only with a defined outcome. You are comfortable taking defined outcomes and converting into necessary requirements and work actions. You have an aptitude for or a desire to develop skillsets in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and preventative analytics using various data analytic technologies. You have an understanding of statistical analysis and concepts such as regression/predictive modelling.
