The Position The Small Engine Mechanic is responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of small engine equipment in our busy onsite workshop Job tasks and responsibilities Maintain, test and repair engines of chainsaws, lawn mowers, garden tractors and other equipment with small engines Ability to detect and diagnose faults in engines and related parts Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components and check parts. Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components and refer to service manuals as needed. Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother running of machines. Maintain a clean and tidy workshop at all times. Skills and experience The successful candidate must possess; Suitable Qualifications Experience in Small Engine Mechanics Attention to detail Able to work as part of a team and unsupervised The Company Braidwood Rural Mitre 10 is a combined CRT and Mitre 10 rural supplies and hardware store where you will work alongside hardware, trade and rural minded staff.
