About the R ole We’re looking for compassionate, enthusiastic, qualified Disability Support Workers for current vacancies at Maroochydore to provide assistance to individuals with physical, developmental or cognitive disabilities. As a Community Disability Support Worker, you will provide assistance to individuals with physical, developmental, or cognitive disabilities. Our services run 7 days a week between the hours of 6am-8pm providing you with flexibility and work life balance. As we do provide 7 day a week care, we require our Support Workers to be available for various shifts including morning, afternoon, and evenings. In this role you will have the ability to support participants by encouraging and maintaining their independence. This role will provide you with great variety in your work including but not limited to: Supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living, including but not restricted to personal care, domestic duties, hospitality services and social/community participation . Collaborate with a dedicated and caring team to ensure comprehensive support for clients. Assist in implementing client-specific program to help clients accessing support to build strong social skills and encourage independence whenever possible. Encourage and Support individuals physical, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual well-being as per their identified NDIS goals. About Y ou Certificate 3 in Individual Support (Disability ) or equivalent/relevant NDIS Worker Screening Clearing held before commencing Demonstrated ability to provide high quality personal care and lifestyle support to people with disability Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and infectious control issues Demonstrated ability to provide support to individual with high complex care needs. Relevant probity checks as required by legislation and WMQ policy. Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQL Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement. Why WMQ?
