The key duties of the position include The Role Surface Force Command consists of a number of groups and departments that work collectively to ensure Surface platforms are available, sustainable and lethal in order to achieve Navy's mission. An employment opportunity exists for an EL1 Governance Manager to lead the Surface Force Preparedness & Compliance Cell located at Garden Island, Potts Point, NSW. You are responsible to Deputy Commander Surface Force for the management and oversight of preparedness and compliance requirements of Surface Force, including: The management and oversight of Surface Force Preparedness related matters, including the provision of quarterly Directed Level of Capability reports and weekly Preparedness reports. The development and maintenance of a Surface Force Long Range Preparedness Plan. The management and oversight of Surface Force inputs to Government Statutory Reporting documents. The coordination and oversight of Departmental Management Audits for all Surface Force units. The coordination and preparation for Surface Force Mission Readiness Boards.
