The opportunity we have available The National Sports Tribunal (NST) is a key part of the Australian Government's sport integrity strategy, providing a fair and transparent forum for resolving sporting disputes in Australia. We offer a range of dispute resolution options - arbitration, mediation, conciliation and case appraisal - to help national level sporting bodies and their participants resolve disputes efficiently and affordably. The NST is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to be appointed as a Senior Tribunal Administration Officer to support the NST's strategic and operational priorities. The key duties of the position include What will you do? You will contribute to all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the National Sports Tribunal. The role is varied and will cut across Governance and Policy, Case Management and Stakeholder Engagement. Typical duties will include: Support the effective management of the National Sports Tribunal to deliver services to the sports sector and manage our governance responsibilities. Support a range of corporate reporting including the NSTs Business Plan, Annual Report and Risk Register Overseeing and contributing to the implementation of a range of projects to enhance the operation of the NST Analysing, interpreting and evaluating information from a broad range of sources to inform continuous improvement activities and future policy direction Preparing a range of written materials for different audiences including communication products and website content, guidance material, correspondence, internal policies, etc Manage financial acquittals, payment processing and cost reconciliation process Case management support, including supporting enquiries via the NST Hotline and NST inbox Who are we looking for? To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate: Highly developed written and verbal strategic communication skills, including strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships. Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills with application to developing policy and addressing policy issues Project planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines and the delivery of work to a high standard in changing, high pressure environments Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing work priorities. Knowledge of the Australian sports industry or willingness to quickly gain this understanding with guidance.
