We are seeking a Financial Analyst on a 12 month Fixed term contract to support the Finance team in providing financial analysis to the business through reporting, strategic management advice to the leadership team, with focus on driving simplicity, enhancing commercial insight and improving both operational and financial performance at MEPAU. Job Description Reporting to the Manager- Financial Risk Management, Treasury & Planning , you will: Support the planning and performance management of the business through: Perform financial forecasting, reporting and tracking performance and operational metrics, Analyse financial data and create financial models to support decision making, Evaluate financial performance through comparison and analysis of actuals and forecasts, and Develop, update and maintain policies and procedures related to financial planning. Support treasury operations and risk management. This includes: Weekly funding management, currency transfer, loan drawdowns and FX deal management, High level risk management including commodity & FX position reports to Tokyo, and Annual application of facility limits to Tokyo. Internal and external compliance reporting Maintain and administer Finance systems, including: Provide support to users within the business Desired Skills and Experience Our successful candidate will be a team player with a high level of initiative, attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service. To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and experience: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce or related field Demonstrable experience in finance field, with experience in the resources industry Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards and report writing Sound organisational skills, including multitasking, time-management and influencing without authority High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
