This role is ideally suited for someone new to the industry who is eager to build a career in news production. Based at our Eveleigh head office in Eveleigh, Sydney, and reporting to the Media Operations Manager, you will be responsible for video editing news stories and liaising with Producers and Reporters to achieve Seven’s required look. About You: We’re looking for an experienced and creative Video Editor with a passion for news and current affairs to join our dynamic News team in Sydney. You’ll collaborate with Producers and Reporters to bring stories to life, demonstrating strong editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a talented newsroom and contribute to high-quality content. You will have: A background in video editing, either through formal education, online courses, or practical experience. Previous experience in News and On-Air operations (ideal but not essential). Quantel, Adobe or Avid editing systems experience A dynamic work ethic, creativity and fast, accurate editing skills The ability to work with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines Why Seven Network?
