About the role Federation University is undergoing a transformative period in educational delivery and infrastructure planning. This fixed-term project role plays a critical part in shaping future-ready learning environments through data-informed strategy. The Space Modeller will be a forward-thinking analyst who thrives in cross-functional collaboration, with a passion for leveraging technology to improve student and staff experience. You will: undertake an analysis of business requirements by researching and evaluating stakeholder and user needs; source, cleanse, and analyse data on room bookings, teaching loads, student enrolments, and timetabling patterns from various stakeholders and systems; develop and maintain space and timetabling models using specialised software and data sets; present data-informed insights to stakeholders, including academic departments and facilities teams; and recommend re-engineering of business processes to improve efficiency. About you Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Scheduling, you will possess demonstrated expert knowledge and application of contemporary Scheduling, Space, Facilities, and Asset Management system solutions and principles. You will have demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities with a variety of stakeholders in addition to analyse diverse and complex information, providing informed reports and recommendations. You will possess: advanced computer literacy skills; proficiency in modelling and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or GIS platforms); demonstrated communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills; and d emonstrated knowledge of space efficiency standards and higher education facility guidelines.
