About Your Role: UGL’s Transport - Manufacturing & Maintenance business are searching for a high performing and committed Electrical Fitter / Mechanic with experience in locomotive, wagon, or passenger carriage (rolling stock) maintenance and overhaul to join our dynamic team based at our facility in Bohle. This permanent full-time role is a day shift roster (6\:00 am – 2\:30 pm), offers a competitive hourly rate, with the opportunity for growth and progression. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, your key responsibilities will include conducting maintenance, overhauls, on rolling stock and general workshop duties, you will be qualified to deliver exceptional service to our clients. Key responsibilities: Perform maintenance, servicing, and overhaul work on locomotives, wagons, passenger carriages and site maintenance Read, interpret, and work from plans, diagrams, and technical specifications. Conduct assembly, disassembly, and component maintenance following best practices. Participate in general workshop duties and contribute to the safe, efficient operations of the team. About You: To be successful in this role, you should bring the following skills and experience: Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a QLD Electrical Work License - Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Previous experience on Rolling stock would be beneficial Additional certifications such as Forklift, EWP and Working at Heights would be highly regarded, Proven experience working within the rail industry, especially in rolling stock. Solid understanding of assembly and maintenance of machinery and equipment. Knowledge of manufacturing and component overhaul processes. Excellent fault-finding experience. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and time management skills.
