About the Role: Strategic Partnership & Alignment: Collaborate with Boeing Defence Australia leadership and Information, Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) to co-create and continuously refine IT strategies that directly support evolving business goals and defence capabilities. Business Transformation Leadership: Translate complex business challenges and opportunities into clear, actionable IT initiatives that drive innovation, efficiency, and mission success. Governance & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the authoritative voice of the business within IT governance forums, ensuring prioritisation of resources aligns with strategic imperatives and risk management frameworks. Enterprise-wide Influence: Leverage Boeing’s global IT network and industry insights to anticipate emerging trends, identify disruptive technologies, and position BDA at the forefront of digital transformation. Change Management & Communication: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies that keep executive leadership and stakeholders informed, engaged, and aligned throughout program lifecycles. Risk & Quality Oversight: Proactively identify risks and dependencies, drive consensus on mitigation plans and ensuring delivery excellence with a focus on first-time quality and sustainable outcomes. Continuous Improvement & Capability Building: Lead and represent IT in maintaining and upholding operational excellence within the areas of service management, long range business planning and capability development. Champion the adoption of Lean, Agile, and other best practices to enhance IT service delivery, operational resilience, and organisational agility. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Minimum 10 years in senior IT business partnering or strategic IT leadership roles within large and complex organisations. Demonstrated success influencing and shaping IT strategy to deliver business transformation and competitive advantage. Exceptional business acumen with the ability to navigate and influence at all organisational levels. Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges requiring creativity and innovative approaches. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder ecosystems. Deep understanding of Lean, Agile, and continuous improvement methodologies applied at enterprise scale. Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Advanced tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines. Extensive experience (10 years) in IT business analysis, systems analysis, or strategic consulting with strong capabilities in requirements definition and solution architecture or project management. Proven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure, systems development, and business transformation programs. Expertise in IT Service Management frameworks and cyber security principles. Familiarity with Defence and Aerospace industry processes, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sustainment.
