The Building Associate supervises construction sites and coordinates the material required to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to specification. This role involves close collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Registration or licensing may be required depending on the state or territory. Key Responsibilities 1. Supervise day-to-day operations on construction sites. 2. Organise and coordinate labour, materials, and equipment. 3. Operate construction equipment as required. 4. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations. 5. Liaise with other professionals to interpret plans and specifications. 6. Maintain accurate records of site activities, including deliveries, inspections, and workforce attendance. 7. Assist in resolving on-site issues and delays. 8. Ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines. 9. Conduct site inspections and report findings to project managers. Required Skills and Qualifications 10. Diploma or equivalent qualification in Building and Construction or related field OR 3 years of work experience. 11. Prior experience in construction supervision or site coordination. 12. Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and construction methods. 13. Excellent organisational and communication skills. 14. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. 15. Competency in using construction management software and tools.
