As we continue in our objective to break the boundaries of traditional bridal design, we are seeking a Design & Development Manager to oversee the end-to-end development and executions of collections for both KYHA and KYHA Bride. Reporting to the Creative Director & Founder, you will lead the Australian Atelier team, and manage the product development lifecycle from concept through to production handover. Key Responsibilities Setting, managing, and upholding KYHA Studios’ critical path for all collections across the KYHA and KYHA Bride brands; Leading the coordination and execution of multiple collections simultaneously, ensuring all phases—from development to production—adhere to critical milestones; Working cross-functionally with the Creative Director, Senior Designer, Production Manager, and GM/VP of Production to align creative and operational timeline; Monitoring project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely delivery; Overseeing the full product development process, ensuring adherence to brand standards for fit, quality, fabrication, and construction; Managing the preparation and execution of collection handover to the production team, including finalisation of tech packs and spec sheets; Ensuring all development activities are aligned with critical path requirements and that team responsibilities are clearly defined and met; Establishing and maintaining QC protocols, ensuring consistency in product quality across global teams and manufacturing partners; Collaborating with the Creative Director and Senior Designer to source fabrics from mills, tradeshows, and both local and offshore agent; Applying appropriate fabrication testing protocols, including both in-house and external sample or fabric testing where necessary; Providing guidance on care label requirements and fabric properties, ensuring compliance with brand and industry standards; Staying informed on global innovations in development, garment technology, and construction methods, sharing relevant insights with the wider team; Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the development function; Leading the day-to-day operations of the Australian Atelier Team, ensuring work priorities align with business and development goals; Providing technical guidance and construction advice to the Atelier Team to support high-quality sample execution; and Fostering a collaborative and accountable working environment that promotes creative problem-solving and craftsmanship. KEY SKILLS Proven experience in apparel product development, preferably within bridal, couture, or high-end fashion. Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex timelines; A deep understanding of garment construction, fabric sourcing, testing protocols, and quality assurance; Strong knowledge of tech packs, spec sheets, and the critical path from design to production. Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills; The ability to manage multiple collections and priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment; and A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to excellence and innovation.
