This role plays a pivotal part in aligning strategic planning with organisational priorities and ensuring ESG principles are embedded across the business. What will your new day look like? As the Head of Strategic Growth and Sustainability, you will lead the development and implementation of Evolve Housing's corporate strategy, growth projects, and ESG framework. Reporting to the Group General Manager within the Growth, Governance and Legal division, you will work closely with the Executive Team and the Board to guide planning and performance across the organisation.This role provides executive leadership across three core areas: growth, by identifying and progressing new business opportunities such as tenders, partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions; strategy, through the development, alignment and oversight of organisational plans and performance frameworks; and ESG, by embedding sustainability, ethical governance, and social responsibility into all aspects of planning, operations, and decision-making. Key accountabilities include: GrowthEvaluate and respond to growth opportunities, including tenders, grants, managers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and other proposals.Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, internal data, and external drivers to identify growth opportunities and risks.Identify and assess strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities.Support the Board on governance processes related to growth and strategy, including reporting and strategic discussions.Engage with external stakeholders- including advisors, regulators, and partners- to align growth initiatives with Evolve Housing's strategic goals. StrategyLead the development and execution of corporate strategic plans to align with organisational goals.Collaborate across teams to gather insights and input for strategic decision making.Define and track KPIs to measure the success of strategic initiatives.Support General Managers and senior leaders to align divisional goals with overall strategy.Monitor and report on progress of key initiatives, adjusted as needed to ensure outcomes are achieved. Environmental, Social and GovernancePartner with the broader organisation and residents to identify ESG risks, innovation opportunities, and best practice initiatives.Lead the preparation and delivery of the annual ESG Report, ensuring it accurately reflects social and governance progress across the organisation.Build strong relationship to foster knowledge-sharing and ESG innovation within the sector.Foster a culture of sustainability and social responsibility through staff and resident engagement.Manage ESG- related risks and performance across areas such as environmental responsibility, ethical practices, and community impact. Some important things you will need to begin this journey! Extensive experience in leading strategy development, driving organisational growth, or managing complex commercial or leadership initiatives.Proven ability to think strategically and translate big picture vision into clear, actionable plans.Previous experience preparing or overseeing successful tender submissions, ideally within the not-for-profit, social or affordable housing, or community housing sectors (highly regarded but not essential).A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Managements, or similar. Practical experience in growth, strategy, and/or ESG will also be considered.Strong leadership capability, with a minimum of 5 years' experience managing teams.Demonstrated analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills at a strategic level.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and manage effective relationships and influence a broad range of stakeholdersSound judgement, high level discretion, and personal accountability in managing complex initiatives.A flexible and proactive working style, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a small, dynamic team environment.Experience preparing reports and delivering presentations to Executive Teams and Boards.Willingness to obtain a National Criminal Check and an NDIS check.
