ABOUT THE ROLE Full Time 12-month position Band 5: Base salary $78,829.40 including Industry Allowance 12% superannuation (no maintenance allowance) Fortnightly RDO Leadership opportunity As a member of the Periodic Maintenance leadership team, you will play a key role in preventative maintenance to maximise safety and longevity of Council’s road and road related assets. As the Supervisor you will oversee the delivery of Council’s road infrastructure including programmed and reactive maintenance works including but not limited to concreting works (footpaths, kerbs), bridges, major and minor culverts, guard rails, boat ramps, bus shelters, stormwater assets, drainage, sealed & unsealed roads, roadsides, and emergency response. Key responsibilities include: Leading the Structures teams and working closely with contractors. Prepare weekly work plans and review to ensure continuous improvement. Liaise with Coordinators to assist in preparing the annual work plans and budgets. Communicate with external stakeholders to help resolve concerns and specialist matters. Understanding requirements for programmed and reactive maintenance works. Oversee maintenance requests from the community and providing a high level of customer service. Assist with scoping and oversee the delivery of assigned infrastructure projects. Undertake labouring duties where required. ABOUT YOU To be successful you will have: Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance) and relevant experience in Concreting and Bridge construction and maintenance including the operation of plant and equipment mandatory, preference for Cert IV or commencement towards this. Experience in supervision and training of Road Maintenance Staff. Ability to conduct all purchase orders, conduct JSAs and ensure OH&S compliance. Other desirable qualifications: Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision. Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.
