Council is seeking a talented Civil Designer to join a dynamic team and help deliver innovative road and transport infrastructure that enhances urban liveability and sustainability. The Capital Delivery Budget for Roads and Transport is around $110M so this is a role that will give you the chance to be involved in more complex and interesting design work from simple kerb and channel work up to road widening encompassing everything that it entails. You could also transition/expand the role to include stormwater. The Position Reporting to the Senior Designer this key role is responsible for the preparation of designs, drawings and estimates for renewal and upgrade infrastructure projects. You will bring with you: Previous experience in road design using 12D. A working knowledge of Australian road infrastructure design standards and the knowledge and ability to interpret and apply the relevant standards, policies, and legislation. Experience in digital engineering and 3d modelling Relevant qualifications and a passion for civil infrastructure design An eye for detail with a strong focus on the production of quality outputs Strong capability in the compilation/modification of AutoCAD drawing files. About You You will have developed a sound understanding of civil design principles and advanced skills using 12D for the preparation of drawings. Whether you are working in a consultancy, local or state government you will enjoy working with a manager who listens to your ideas and importantly imparts their extensive experience in the field to ensure you are learning and growing. With effective communication skills (both verbal and written), good computer skills and a positive, proactive attitude you will enjoy tackling a wide variety of projects.
