As we expand our offerings, we are seeking a versatile and empathetic IT Consultant to lead our Digital Experience & Engagement initiatives. This role will focus on designing inclusive, multilingual digital platforms - particularly for non-profit organisations and communities that are often underserved by emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). Skills and Experience : Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification (postgraduate qualifications are a plus). Minimum of one year of relevant work experience. Portfolio showcasing UI/UX design capabilities. Experience auditing websites against accessibility standards. Familiarity with Enhanced Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities UI/UX Design : Design intuitive, accessible interfaces for multilingual users, including seniors and individuals with low digital literacy. Create wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications using industry-standard tools. Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards. Collaborate with developers to implement and refine UI components. Business Analysis : Gather and document requirements from target communities. Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops in English and other relevant languages. Work with translators to support non-English-speaking users. Translate community needs into actionable design and technical specifications. Validate features and content with stakeholders. Community Engagement : Build relationships with community leaders, cultural organisations, and service providers. Organise outreach events, feedback sessions, and user testing. Facilitate communication between the project team and impacted communities. Promote platform adoption and digital literacy. Essential / Desired Requirements : Australian work rights and relevant industry experience. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Visu. Familiarity with tools used to audit websites against WCAG accessibility standards. Experience with AI agents, especially with vendor certifications, is highly desirable. Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and training skills. High level of cultural sensitivity and empathy.
