Where the team fits in The Senior Commercial Analyst sits within the Finance and Business Services Group, headed up by the Chief Financial Officer. The Finance and Business Servic es t eam, or FaB S as we like to call them, is the engine room of the REA Group. The team is comprise d of Finance, Risk & Assurance, Workplace Experience & Procurement, Investor Relations, Corporate Development and Corporate Communications. This cross-functional group of individuals who are the best in their fields, provide strategic commercial input and guidance around decisions across all levels of the business, while continually improving the ‘behind the scenes’ of REA to support our people, drive efficiencies and maximise customer satisfaction. What the role is all about The Senior Commercial Analyst will be a key business partner working within the Commercial Finance team. They will provide analysis and insights with a view to maximising commercial outcomes. Prepare, model and deliver accurate Budget, Forecasts and Long-Range Plans for Revenue and Costs, that are well informed by market trends, REA strategy and key business drivers Track, analyse and report financial and business performance that is impactful, useful and timely that enables effective business decisions making Assess and evaluate the financial returns of key projects and investments aligning to REA's strategy. Provide insight and recommendations regarding the financial viability of the capital investment Establish relationships within Finance and cross functionally to be an effective business partner. Listen to others, contribute by sharing & educating, collaborate to achieve the best commercial outcomes Respond to or actively seek out opportunities to improve current processes, systems, tools or meetings Demonstrate an adequate level of understanding of relevant professional accounting and regulatory standards that facilitates REA in conducting its operations and fulfilling its statutory obligations Ensure relevant SOX compliance requirements are met Who we’re looking for Someone with a few runs on the board – experience in an accounting firm or in an industry environment in a commercial capacity CA /CPA qualified Analysis, modelling, budgeting and forecasting experience Advanced excel skills Strong initiative; willingness to take ownership Excellent analytical capabilities, numeracy skills and accountability Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens Demonstrated commercial acumen and stakeholder management The REA experience The physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about.
