Your Team You will report to the Security Operations Manager. You will collaborate closely with the SOC, infrastructure teams, and broader technology stakeholders by providing expert technical support, operational oversight, and delivery of change management for our network access control devices. Your Role As the Network Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of our network infrastructure. As part of a highly capable security operations team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring firewall technologies, implementing policy updates, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and optimising access control strategies to minimise risk across the enterprise Key Responsibilities Monitor firewall performance and generate operational reports to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Support and maintain network security solutions including Azure Firewalls , F5 APM , and Illumio (training provided as required). Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and access issues involving firewalls, routing, and access control policies. Review and refine firewall rules regularly to ensure optimal performance and risk mitigation Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to support ongoing projects, incident response, and compliance activities. About You Experience in operating and managing enterprise firewalls and security policies within Microsoft Azure cloud environment. Good knowledge of firewall performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting. Hands-on experience with Azure Firewalls , F5 APM , and Illumio (or willingness to upskill). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation. Knowledge of APRA CPS 234, PCI-DSS, or equivalent compliance frameworks is advantageous.
