Sydney Wealth Management Contract or Temporary This position lies with the Account Management Team (AMT), a team that is responsible for ensuring that Know Your Client (KYC) account opening documentation complies with the firm’s global standards and any additional local regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Compliance / AML function or has onboarding experience at another top-tier Bank. AMT own the front to back process for onboarding clients. The team covers a domestic and private wealth management client base that consists of individual, joint, trusts and an expanding client base of funds and subsidiaries of listed companies. Key Responsibilities: As part of the Account Onboarding team, assist in the end-to-end new account request handling, case review and management till the new account is set up Handle wide range of account opening and client documentation submitted by Sales, review the document accuracy and completeness in accordance to the Bank’s compliance and KYC requirements. Or where certain documents are not available upfront, provide advisory to Sales on the list of required documents. Documents include client identification and verification documents, contractual agreements, account application forms, tax forms, and other documents Assist to review client’s source of wealth profile, background check results and supporting documents for corroboration of Source of Wealth (SOW). Ensure accurate data entry and document upload onto the onboarding system Liaise with Sales and relevant stakeholders on any missing documentation and inconsistent information inputted in the client’s profile and the onboarding system Keep track of and follow up on any post-onboarding outstanding documents and issues before the expiry date Present onboarding cases and report issues to manager / supervisor where identified Key Skills/Knowledge: Strong analytical and organisational skills. Strong communication skills to effectively and clearly instruct/ advise Sales teams and other stakeholders. Ability to articulate issues concisely and effectively. Able to work both independently and with a team in a dynamic environment with high pressure on timeliness and quality of deliverables. KYC documentation review or SOW assessment is an advantage Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Banking required or equivalent education or experience. 3-6 years plus relevant working experience in the financial services industry, ideally with previous experience in Compliance or Risk within a private bank or onboarding/periodic review in a top-tier bank. Further info: Understanding of UK KYC regulations as well as AU KYC regulations – the reason being is that they are audited under the UK regulatory body. Future flexibility to work from home once a week, upon being settled in the company and trained up in their processes.
