The Plant Pathology Unit provide diagnostic services for the identification of plant diseases. The Technical Officer under the direction of the Plant Pathologist will carry out laboratory, field and glasshouse-work to support the control and management of plant diseases. The successful candidate will need microbiological skills, autoclave disposal, plant rearing and inoculation, and contributing to maintenance of plant disease databases and collections.
