Freeling, Gawler Area $75,000 to $90,000 plus super Base rate Permanent Full time Wheatfields Residential Care is actively seeking applications from Enrolled Nurses to work a variety of AM, PM, and night shifts across the 7-day week. We are looking for Enrolled Nurses who have an interest in gerontology and dementia care and who would like to pursue a career in aged care to join us as we expand our services and facilities over the next 12 months in the community of Freeling. Attributes for the role: As the Enrolled Nurse on duty, you will be required to lead, mentor, and supervise a team of dedicated Personal Carers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for our residents. Detailed responsibilities are as follows: - Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care needs of residents Administering medication and monitoring residents’ health and well-being Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care to the residents Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all residents. Ensuring a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment for our residents. Promoting resident independence and dignity Liaise with the Registered Nurse for Doctors, Allied Health and visiting Specialists to implement and evaluate the resident's care needs and the development of care plans. keep accurate and appropriate records of care delivery, assist with monitoring and auditing results, ensuring continuous improvement. You will be required to work within the framework of the Aged Care Legislation and the Aged Care Quality Standards. Essential Requirements of the role: Current AHPRA registration Experience and knowledge in the aged care standards, accreditation, and the Person-Centred Care Model are advantages. Qualifications in gerontology and dementia care would be highly valued. Preferably a minimum of 1 year post-graduate experience, but we would consider a new graduate for the right person. A current National Police check - Aged Care Current vaccination records for influenza and COVID-19. Excellent communication and documentation skills, Well-developed time management skills Ability to work within a team providing encouragement, education, and mentorship to enrolled nurses and care staff.
