12 month role Based in Brisbane CBD Queensland Government You will assist Technical Services Procurement management team to deliver and manage high risk/complex tactical and strategic procurement across the procurement network. You will be involved in procurement, contract management, finance and planning activities to support the ongoing care and maintenance of the abandoned mine structures and water assets (dams and weirs) managed by the agency. You will mainly focus on procurement activities associated with operations of the Queensland Resources Common User Facility (QRCUF). This position requires: • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills which promote and sustain positive relationships with staff and team members. • Active participation in the design and implementation of new solutions including technology, and new ways of working. • Flexibility and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. • Analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to identify and investigate issues, and propose mitigation options and strategies. • Proven ability to manage complex procurement processes and business processes. • Sound Governance to uphold integrity through responsible management and use of processes and resources in compliance with the Queensland Government procurement and contract management frameworks. Mandatory requirements: • End-to-end procurement and contract management skills and experience. • Experience in SAP. • Completion of Queensland Government Level 2 or Level 3 Procurement Certification is highly desirable. Highly desirable requirements: - Experience with Sharepoint, MS Forms and PowerBI experience is highly desirable. - Relevant civil construction procurement and contract management experience is highly desirable. - A tertiary qualification in a related field such as law, finance, engineering, or equivalent industry experience demonstrating the required level of technical/operational expertise.
