The Role We’re looking for a Training Coordinator to join our Perth site and take the lead on all things learning and development. This is your chance to own the training space, bring your own ideas to life, and really make your mark on how we grow and support our people on site. You’ll be leading, coordinating, and delivering training that keeps our team sharp, safe, and set up for success. There’s plenty of room for creativity and initiative here — we’re after someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, take charge, and have a bit of fun along the way! Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll be part of a collaborative, down-to-earth team. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to; Develop and facilitate relevant “in-house” training sessions / programs that actually make a difference Building and maintaining the skills matrix for production and other teams. Utilise competency requirements identified through skills audits and captured within the skills matrix Conduct regular training needs analysis and assessments Recommending and rolling out on-the-job training that hits the mark Lead and coordinate the online site safety induction program Keep our SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) current and easy to follow Give existing L&D programs a refresh and finding smarter ways to do things Drive our compliance and technical training program in partnership with key teams Create and manage our annual training calendar based on competency/skills matrix; facilitate the review and update of existing OTJ training Report on training progress, completions, and spend Other ad hoc duties as per directed. About You We’re after someone who’s passionate about developing people and thrives in a fast paced, hands-on environment. You’ll have experience as a Trainer or Training Coordinator in a manufacturing or operational environment. Here’s what will help you succeed: Cert IV in Training & Assessment (ideal, but not a deal breaker) Great communicator — clear, engaging, and confident in both writing and speaking People person — you know how to build trust and connect with people from all sorts of backgrounds Detail-oriented and organised — you’ve got a plan (and a backup plan!)
