Responsibilities Join us in a field-based medical affairs role that’s central to our Rare Disease Portfolio. As an MSL, you’ll be the scientific face of our organization - building strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and cross-functional partners. Reporting to the Medical Manager / Medical Director, you’ll cover the southern Australian market. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering medical strategy, generating insights, shaping scientific exchange, and ultimately improving patient access to critical therapies. What You’ll Do Engage & Educate: Build collaborative, science-driven relationships with KOLs, medical experts, and HCPs across Australia. Communicate Science: Translate complex data into meaningful insights and deliver impactful presentations to medical audiences. Shape Strategy: Bring external insights back into the business to inform local and global medical strategies. Support Early Access: Contribute to local compassionate use and early access programs that address urgent unmet needs. Deliver Excellence: Drive implementation of medical education initiatives, advisory boards, symposia, and clinical research activities. Stay Ahead: Monitor competitive intelligence and therapeutic trends to inform market-shaping strategies. Build Knowledge: Train internal teams and external partners to strengthen scientific literacy and product understanding. Requirements What You Bring Tertiary qualifications in a scientific discipline (PharmD, MD, PhD preferred). 2 years of MSL or equivalent medical affairs experience in Australia/New Zealand. Demonstrated experience with product launches, scientific exchange, and cross-functional collaboration. Strong understanding of the Australian healthcare system, rare diseases a strong plus. Sound knowledge of local regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Medicines Australia Code of Conduct. Proven ability to communicate complex science with clarity and confidence to a variety of audiences. A team-first mindset with excellent interpersonal skills and professional presence. Curious, agile, and proactive, with strong initiative and ability to work independently. Excellent digital and IT fluency, with comfort using virtual platforms and tools.
