We’re seeking a Driver / Labourer to join our council’s civil maintenance team, working across the North Sydney LGA to repair and maintain footpaths with pride and precision. North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands and a bustling CBD. The role In this role, you’ll drive light vehicles and operate small plant machinery—ensuring work zones are safe, traffic is controlled, and hazards are managed. You’ll be digging out damaged pavement, preparing base material, and installing surface finishes using concrete, asphalt or pavers. After the job’s done, you'll restore road markings, remove traffic control devices, tidy up the site, and keep vehicles and plant clean and well‑maintained.
