Services span vocational rehabilitation, education support, and access to health and community services—creating meaningful outcomes that assist individuals in navigating the transition to civilian life. Services are provided both in person and via telehealth to support the needs of the clients. About the Role: Based in Woolloongabba - Brisbane, this role focuses on delivering trauma-informed, client-centred social work services to veterans and their families. The position also plays a key role in supporting vocational and education pathways to improve long-term outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychosocial and vocational assessments Develop and manage tailored care and employment plans Deliver counselling and emotional support services Coordinate with health and community service providers to ensure integrated care Assist clients with employment preparation including resume writing and interview techniques Advocate for appropriate workplace adjustments and return-to-work plans Engage with employers, training organisations, and education providers to build sustainable pathways Represent the organisation in community engagement and outreach activities About You: Degree-qualified Social Worker, eligible for AASW membership Postgraduate experience in social work or case management Strong understanding of the mental health and psychosocial challenges faced by veterans and their families Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Desirable: Experience working with veterans, Defence personnel, or in trauma-informed care Knowledge of education access schemes such as VCES and MRCAETS Background in community-based or education-focused social work Benefits: $90,000 – $100,000 superannuation Salary packaging options available Ongoing clinical supervision and CPD support Supportive team culture with a shared commitment to impact Opportunity to contribute to innovative programs that make a lasting difference Apply now to be part of a team dedicated to improving the wellbeing and future of Australia’s veteran community.
