Our JMJ Narrandera is currently seeking a highly motivated and positive full-time Retail Store Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Area Business Consultant, this role is pivotal in delivering a high standard of customer service, store presentation, and operational excellence — all while fostering a safe, inclusive, and harmonious work environment. As Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, team leadership, inventory control, compliance, marketing execution, and site profitability. Duties include but not limited to: The employee's role and duties will be as per position description below.• Planning, organising, implementing, controlling and managing entire operations of store.• Responsible for inventory management including ordering and controlling stock, liaising with suppliers based on product demand on weekly basis.• Analysing sales and customer demand patterns to determine product mix (including fuel, food items and beverages) and budget of the store on regular basis.• Conducting trend analysis to improve profitability of the store.• Monitoring, improving and reporting on service standards to improve store efficiency.• Maintaining record of financial transactions and conducting bank reconciliations.• Providing customer information about product use.• Preparing promotional and marketing strategies to improve sales (this may include planning and implementing strategies on discounts, promotional offers, improving store visibility, etc).• Recruiting, training and motivating staff to meet sales target.• Meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so.• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a retail leadership or management role.• Previous experience in fuel/petroleum retail (highly regarded).• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.• Strong organisational, decision-making, and communication skills.• Experience with food handling and back-of-house operations (desirable).• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.• A strong work ethic, with a hands-on, can-do attitude.• Legally entitled to work in Australia.
