As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) you will be the technical face of our company—installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing a diverse portfolio of instruments. Key Responsibilities Deliver on site instrument set up, IQ/OQ, operator training and hand over documentation. Plan/perform scheduled PM, troubleshoot faults, implement repairs, verify performance to factory specs. Provide phone/email triage, user refresher training, escalate complex issues, coordinate loan instruments & spare parts. Maintain accurate service cases in CRM; manage boot stock and local inventory Feedback recurring issues to product specialists and supplier TAC teams. Contribute to service knowledgebase, mentor junior engineer/techs. Work to Millennium Science service dept standards; complete risk assessments and PPE requirements. Timely submission of expense reports per company policy. Travel requirement: 30% Qualifications & Experience • Degree, Diploma or trade certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Biomedical, Analytical Chemistry or similar field. • 6-10 years’ field service or depot repair experience on laboratory/analytical instruments or medical devices; experience with liquid handlers, HPLC/LC MS, spectroscopy or imaging systems highly valued. • Strong fault-finding skills (electro mechanical, fluidics, optics, software). • Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, service manuals, and use diagnostic software. • Proficient in MS Office & CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, Sales force). • Ability to travel within Australia/New Zealand, overseas as required • Valid driver’s licence and eligibility to work in Australia. Physical / Environmental Requirements • Ability to lift / manoeuvre up to 20 kg unassisted and work on benches or floors as required. • Regular use of PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves) in PC2 & 3 level laboratory environments and cleanrooms. • Frequent driving; occasional work outside core hours to minimise laboratory downtime. Travel Requirements Approximate domestic travel commitment: 30 % Territory covers Australian capital‑city and regional customer sites; occasional New Zealand travel or overseas factory training may be required.
