Step into a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work alongside construction crews on the ground, supervising the installation of Optic Fibre infrastructure. The IEN project, supporting the Pilbara’s significant mining and industrial operations, will enhance digital connectivity and enable critical applications for the future. We’re looking for someone with experience in Optic Fibre deployment, particularly Direct Buried construction methods, who can support crews in solving challenges, ensuring safety on site, and guiding work to the highest quality standards. Your leadership skills will ensure deadlines are met, issues are resolved quickly, and teamwork remains strong. What you’ll be doing Overseeing construction activities, ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations. Problem-solving technical challenges and providing on-the-spot guidance to crews. Ensuring compliance with permit requirements, safety policies, and project specs. Monitoring subcontractors, resource allocation, and equipment use on-site. Leading by example—get stuck in, make decisions, and be the go-to for the crew. About You Proven experience in Optic Fibre rollouts, utilising Direct Buried construction and techniques like under boring and HDD in rock. Safety-first mindset, with a Cert IV in WHS, Traffic Control Accreditation, First Aid, White Card, and Driver’s License. Skilled in using field tools like ARGIS, MapInfo, and Enable On for safety reporting. A knack for managing dynamic field environments and teams while keeping everything on track. Strong communication to keep the crew together and the job running smoothly.
