The Coordinator Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) will support the Manager, HSW in the development and implementation of the Bank’s health, safety and wellbeing framework and provide support and advice to the business in aspects of HSW. This includes risk management, incident response, HSW reporting and contributing to proactive engagement and well-being initiatives designed to minimise the risk to the health and safety of the Bank’s employees, contractors, and customers and visitors. What you will be doing Assist in implementing the Bank’s Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) strategy and annual plan to reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance Maintain and enhance HSW systems and processes, ensuring timely communication of updates and initiatives across the business including integration of Qudos WHS into the Bank’s HSW systems. Support the development of a proactive HSW culture by promoting risk awareness and injury prevention, and building strong partnerships across teams Assist business units in identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks, and consulting with HSW Committee members Monitor incident and risk registers to ensure timely reporting, investigation, and actioning of incidents, including assigning follow-up actions Support workers compensation, injury management, and return-to-work processes in collaboration with the Manager HSW and P&C Business Partners Assist with wellbeing programs and governance activities across the Bank Provide administrative support including monthly reporting, meeting coordination, and acting as Secretary to the HSW Consultative Committee Contribute to the development and review of HSW policies, procedures, templates, and guidelines to support best practice risk management Develop and manage HSW inspection plans across Bank sites, ensuring documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting Review first aid risk assessments in consultation with staff, monitor training currency, and coordinate bookings What you will bring Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Initiative and problem-solving ability, with a proactive approach to keeping the Manager HSW informed Ability to build professional, collaborative relationships across the organisation Qualifications and strong experience in a similar or related HSW role Experience with safety auditing/self-assessment and contributing to the development and improvement of safety management systems Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills Effective written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and HSW documentation Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and contribute to incident and injury reduction Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various Bank sites as required Dedication to promoting a positive safety culture and delivering accurate, timely HSW support Commitment to Bank Australia’s purpose, aspiration, values and brand as well as the B Corp ethos.
