TP Human Capital is partnering with a government client in Townsville to recruit a Technical Support Officer on a contract basis until June 2026 . This role offers 36.25 hours per week at a pay rate of $62 per hour . Role Overview The Technical Support Officer will be responsible for deploying and supporting IT infrastructure across the organisation. The role focuses on hardware deployment, system imaging, configuration, and user support within a Microsoft environment. Key Responsibilities Deploy operating system images to new or replacement workstations using MECM Coordinate with end users to schedule hardware deployments and communicate progress Install and configure laptops, desktops, and monitors; decommission legacy equipment Manage Active Directory groups for application access and user control Perform network port patching and work with Cisco switches during deployments Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar or relevant IT support role Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in most of the following: Windows Domain environments with Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory Cloud services including Microsoft Azure and Office 365 Workstation management and software deployment tools (e.g. Microsoft MECM) Security management tools and technologies Advanced scripting for OS deployment, automation, and app modification Networking technologies Server and desktop virtualisation How to Apply To express your interest in this opportunity, please apply with your resume and cover letter.
