The Role As a CNC Machinist, you’ll work under the direction of the Manager to produce high quality custom and prototype components from 2D drawings and 3D models. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. You will be using CNC and manual lathes, together with other workshop tools and equipment. Manufactured components are assembled into high precision systems on-site prior to dispatch. You will also be responsible for: Identification and recommendation of tooling required to complete each job Maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the workshop Work Health and Safety – reporting of incidents, adherence to policies, safe handling of equipment, routine risk assessments Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Maintaining quality control standards Skills and experience With at least two years of relevant workshop experience, you’ll have: Knowledge of CNC Lathe programming Ability to confidently set CNC lathes for production Ability to effectively interpret engineering drawings and specifications Good communication skills Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded though not essential: 2 & 3 axis lathe setting 3 & 4 axis CNC mill setting Doosan Fanuc controls Benefits Working with the latest advanced technology Core hours for work/life balance Well maintained and clean working environment On-site training and career progression possibilities Team environment Overtime available N.B.
