This role is ideal for Australians currently working in Toronto, Canada , who are ready to return home and continue their career on a once-in-a-generation infrastructure project . As a Fit Out Supervisor , you will be responsible for the day-to-day on-site management of building interiors and finishing works across stations, depot facilities, and ancillary buildings. You will lead subcontractors and trades to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards , while collaborating closely with the project team to resolve site challenges and maintain progress. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise subcontractors and trades delivering interior fit-out and finishing works Manage daily site logistics, materials, and resources Drive a strong safety-first culture on site Monitor work progress against program and escalate any issues proactively Ensure fit-out works are delivered to design, quality, and safety specifications Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety checks Work closely with Engineers, Project Managers, and Safety Teams to coordinate activities Maintain daily records, reports, and site documentation Assist in the handover and commissioning phases Criteria Trade background or relevant qualification in Construction, Carpentry, Joinery, or a related field 5 years’ supervisory experience in fit-out or finishing works (rail/infrastructure experience preferred but not essential) Solid understanding of interior construction sequencing and finishing works Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors on site Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and delivery outcomes Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment Australian working rights are required , however relocation support is available What’s Next?
