About the Opportunity As a Funeral Consultant, you will work closely with families during one of the most difficult times in their lives. You will coordinate all aspects of the funeral arrangement process, offering guidance, support, and attention to detail to ensure each service is conducted with dignity and respect. Meet with families to arrange and plan funeral services Coordinate service details with cemeteries, clergy, celebrants, florists, and other providers Prepare legal documentation, bookings, and service-related paperwork Work closely with a dedicated team to ensure seamless service delivery Provide compassionate support and professional advice to client families from all backgrounds and faiths About You You are someone who has an innate ability to put the needs of our families first. Above all, you will be focused on ensuring that your attention to detail delivers the service that loved ones are expecting. You will also have: Previous experience as a Funeral Arranger, Conductor, Director, or relevant experience in a similar role (such as clergy, celebrant, customer service or event management) Demonstrated ability to meticulously manage detailed and sensitive arrangements, ensuring every aspect is thoughtfully planned and nothing is overlooked Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills A genuine sense of empathy and commitment to supporting bereaved families Strong organisational skills and ability to manage changing priorities Confidence working under pressure and resilience in the face of change A current SA driver’s licence Current police clearances A flexible approach to work hours, including availability for occasional weekend or after-hours work About our Client Peter Elberg Funerals are a long-standing, South Australian and family-owned business located at Flinders Park in Adelaide's West.
