Description Are you an experienced Cricket coach looking for your next opportunity? Join the team to lead Carey's cricket program! The Role: We are currently seeking an experienced cricket coach to join the Carey team as the Head of Cricket. This role suits a dynamic leader who has experience developing programs to support students to meet their goals in their chosen field. The Head of Cricket is responsible for coaching the cricket teams across Year 7-12 and leading a team of casual cricket assistants/coaches. An opportunity exists within this role, to bring high-level coaching skills into practice and coach our First XI cricket team if desired. The Average Day: Develop a progressive training program to ensure development of individual players and the team Attend seminars, coaching clinics, APS/AGSV review meetings and conferences as directed by the Head of Sport & Activities. Develop and maintain a positive and supportive team culture. Communicate with Carey community members and key stakeholders regarding the Carey cricket program Administration of the annual budget in collaboration with the Head of Sport & Activities and manage all equipment and purchases Advocate for and promote the cricket program throughout the Carey community The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: Experience as a high-level School or Club coach Level 2 or above Coaching Accreditation A passion for cricket and inspiring others to reach their goals in the sport Exceptional written and verbal communication Strong organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent people skills, specifically developing relationships A valid Employee Working with Children Check is a requirement of employment for this position. Depending on the selected applicant, this engagement may be offered as part time or a seasonal casual contract.
