Our Asset Management & Optimisation team works across public and private sectors to deliver strategic, long-term solutions that balance cost, opportunity, and risk. We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Asset Management) who’s ready to step into a hands-on role, managing projects and working directly with clients to deliver high-impact outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing: Deliver strategic advice across asset strategy, definition, and full program implementation. Verification and assessment of mechanical plans, design, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of mechanical and process plant and installations. Analyse operational data, workforce utilisation, facility layouts, production schedules, and costs to optimise worker and equipment efficiencies. Support asset lifecycle mapping, CAPEX/OPEX reviews, and operational improvement initiatives. Develop and review functional statements, organisational charts, and project information to determine functions, responsibilities, and identify duplication across work units. Establish work measurement programs and analyse work samples to develop standards for labour utilisation. Assessment of the configuration and design of mechanical equipment, machines, components, and products for manufacture, as well as plant and systems for operations. Develop specifications for manufacture, including determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities, and layouts for plant construction and systems. Lead system and process mapping and support the implementation of new solutions across mechanical systems, equipment, and plant layouts. Establish standards, procedures and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance in line with engineering principles and safety regulations. Conduct inspections and performance reviews to ensure compliance, efficiency, and optimum performance. Develop maintenance activities and system engineer requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules. Organise and manage project labour, and coordinate the delivery of materials, contractors, and equipment to site. Contribute to business plans and the development of strategic asset management frameworks.
