Job Description Currently, this position is located in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits. Once the project is fully operational, it will transition to a 14/7 roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region. ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project. The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year. Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking dedicated Project Engineers to share their expertise within our growing Civil team. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, construction, and quality assurance, to ensure that all civil aspects of the project are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Develop and review civil engineering designs and calculations for transmission line foundations, towers, and associated structures Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and client specifications Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery Monitor subcontractors performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship is in accordance with the specifications Ensures that program is communicated to subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff to maintain commitment Assist in managing cost control for certain aspects of the project in order to ensure the project meets its performance targets in relation to budget/forecast Lead, motivate, and mentor site personnel to foster positive team dynamics, staff moral and work outcomes Develop and monitor implementation of construction methods including audits Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, reports, and as-built records Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans specific to civil works Address client queries and concerns related to civil works in a timely and professional manner Required Skills and Competencies Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or a related field 3 years of relevant experience in Foundations, ideally in Transmission Lines or civil infrastructure. Problem solving / analytical skills Geotechnical Interpretation Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups.
