The Company This industry leading company based in the heart of Sydney's CBD is seeking a professional Senior Payroll Manager who can be at the forefront of their business and lead the team. Our client is based right by public transport connections and offers flexibility to WFH 2-3 days per week once settled into the role. The Role As the Senior Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for a leading the payroll functions with a small team. Your key responsibilities will include: Overseeing and ensuring wages are processed in line with multiple Awards and assisting with processing when required. Manage all month and year end reconciliation, journals, reporting and statutory returns required Monitoring the performance of the payroll system and coordinating updates and ongoing maintenance and improvements as required Work closely with the HR team to prepare and implement pay awards and salary increases Ensuring that final pay is submitted within the timelines of the business. Ensures the accurate calculation, payment and reconciliation of employee entitlements, PAYG tax, superannuation contributions, and termination payments; validates payroll system calculations Your Profile To be successful in this role you will need to have strong leadership skills and have the ability to mentor and support staff. Any successful applicants will have experience using large payroll systems previously. You will need to demonstrate full understanding of the payroll process and thrive on stimulating change and to drive positive impact.
