Job Title: Enterprise Architect - Health Contract: Daily rate contract, initial contract through 31 December 2025, with possible extensions Location: Brisbane CBD. Interstate candidates with strong health sector experience will be considered; however, relocation to Brisbane is required. Job Summary Our Queensland Government client, home to one of the largest ICT operations in the health sector, is seeking a transformational Enterprise Architect to help drive strategic digital change. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Architecture and working within the Digital Architecture team, this role is responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Enterprise Technology Architecture. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping ICT-enabled business transformation, strategic planning, and investment decisions for the organisation’s digital assets. About the Role The organisation operates a comprehensive ICT environment, covering both infrastructure, a wide portfolio of clinical, business, and integration applications. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that ICT services and systems align with business objectives and deliver value to customers. As the department undergoes major organisational and digital transformation, this role requires strong leadership in service design, architecture, and change management. You'll champion sustainable, transparent, and efficient architectural practices grounded in lean and agile principles, maximising value from the services portfolio. Key Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in enterprise architecture or solution design within large, complex organisations . Strong understanding of public sector operations, particularly within the healthcare context. Proven ability to deliver strategic direction for value-for-money, fit-for-purpose digital services and technologies. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, open communication, and knowledge sharing. Ability to lead and influence ICT planning, architecture, and investment decisions. Experience working in service provider or commercially oriented ICT environments. Skilled in developing and reviewing architecture strategies, standards, and roadmaps aligned with health system goals. Capability to manage and advocate for business/system reform and new service adoption in complex environments. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across all organisational levels.
