About the role We're seeking an experienced Commercial Director to join our Legal & Reputation team! This role will be within our new Commercial department and focuses on driving profitable growth through successful bids, new business at healthy margins, and ensuring policy compliance. You'll provide commercial leadership in a strategic account, across market sector, or supporting a business initiative, offering market insights to lead large and important transactions. Working closely with all of the functions, sales and delivery, you'll lead deal based decision-making and manage all related commercial activities, ensuring effective commercial management. This is a full-time, permanent position based in either Sydney , Melbourne , Canberra , Auckland or Wellington . Key Responsibilities Deal Making/New Business: Leads the negotiation of complex or high-risk deals, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and advising on risks and opportunities. Contract Management: Delivers contract support and advises on contractual requirements to support successful delivery outcomes. Policy Compliance: Follows and promotes Fujitsus Legal, Compliance, and Commercial policies. Highlights when escalations are needed and identifies potential improvements. Post-Contract Negotiations/Dispute Resolution: Guides stakeholders on contract compliance and leads resolution of disputes in partnership with Legal. Offering Infrastructure: Collaborates with Offerings and Legal to create robust commercial terms and templates that support profitable and deliverable sales. Risk Identification, Management and Mitigation: Identifies and mitigates risks, providing clear advice to unblock issues and support decisions. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyses bid and market data, prepares reports, and drives process improvements. Requirements and Experience Proven experience in bid leadership, proposal writing, and/or commercial roles. At least 5 years commercial experience in the IT industry. Experience in negotiating complex and high value IT transactions. Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills; thrives under pressure and tight deadlines. Understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and industry best practices. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Accounting, Economics) or equivalent experience. Why Fujitsu?
