About the Role Entelect is kicking off a major Java-based banking integration program with a leading financial institution. This is a high-impact, multi-year initiative focused on modernising core systems and streamlining digital banking services. We’re building a senior, cross-functional core team based in either Brisbane or Sydney to lead the charge. As the Senior Solution Architect, you’ll define and drive architectural strategy across the program, shaping scalable, high-performing solutions that align with both business goals and technical best practices. This is more than just a tech role - your consulting expertise will be critical. You’ll be a key client-facing voice, guiding decision-making, keeping stakeholders informed, and influencing outcomes from the top down. You won’t just deliver solutions - you’ll deliver confidence. Defining solution architecture aligned with customer requirements, industry best practices, and modern integration patterns. Guiding development teams on architecture decisions, performance optimisation, and scalability. Working closely with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into clear technical outcomes. Ensuring seamless integration with core banking systems, third-party services, and front-end channels. Acting as a trusted advisor to the client, ensuring solutions are not just delivered, but delivered right - with clarity, foresight, and quality. Mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence across the program. What We're Looking For To be considered, you’ll need to meet the following must-haves: You’re currently based in either Sydney or Brisbane, with full Australian working rights - no exceptions. You’re open and available for international travel when required You bring deep architecture experience in complex enterprise environments, ideally in financial services.
