Plus Superannuation Location: Dandenong Chisholm is seeking an experienced Academic Quality Partner to join the Academic Quality team on a fixed term contract until 31 December 2025. About The Role The Academic Quality Team works across and with all areas of the institute to raise awareness of quality requirements, build capability of staff to meet quality standards, educate and review practices to ensure quality remains a focus for all staff in everything that we do. Bringing together elements of the Education Plan and the Student Experience Plan, the EQF supports improved educational experiences for students and provides improved education for staff to ensure quality outcomes. The Academic Quality Partner reports to the Manager Academic Quality and works closely with other members of the Teaching and Learning team, including Education Consultants to monitor quality through quality reviews and course level reviews, to design areas for development of staff identified through those investigations and works with business areas to prepare for external audits from state funding bodies and regulators. Key Responsibilities Include Work with Chisholm leaders and key stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on quality concerns and issues through a sound understanding of Chisholm policy and procedures around academic quality. Develop and implement supporting guidelines, checklists and information to assist management and staff to prepare for internal and external audits Design audit checklists and processes to elicit information about current practice in teaching and learning in comparison to the standards required. Provide feedback to people leaders on performance against quality measures and support implementation of improvement actions. Plan, develop and oversee the delivery of quality assurance programs and procedures for course level reviews as well as broad sampling on scheduled thematic reviews. Review and approve Training and Assessment Strategies in development and review to ensure compliance with training package, purchasing guide and the Standards and make recommendations for change where necessary Provide specialist advice to business areas for their applications for additions to scope of registration, Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) and changes to training packages or accredited courses. Partner with accountable program delivery leadership and HR to review vocational competence and currency of trainer files against standards. Conduct Quality Reviews in accordance with schedule and report findings to Manager Academic Quality and business area managers Prepare monthly reports for of the Manager Academic Quality on progress of current self-assurance activities and outstanding continuous improvement actions. Develop action plans in collaboration with Business Area Manager to address findings of audits, monitor actions against plans and contribute to report on progress to plans at Vocational Education Academic Board (VEAB) About You You are a highly motivated individual with Sound working knowledge of ASQA, ESOS, Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA), Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) and Higher Education Standards Framework (HES Framework) compliance requirements, Practical understanding of the Revised Standards for RTOs Practical understanding of the SkillsFirst Funding Contract Sound knowledge of best practice training delivery Sound knowledge of best practice assessment and reasonable adjustment Practical experience in pre and post assessment validation Knowledge of training packages and the VET environment. Extensive vocational teaching experience Extensive experience in responding to internal and external quality audits and reviews Desirable Qualifications An adult teaching qualification, together with extensive experience in vocational educational and training (VET) quality assurance TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent A quality auditing qualification is desirable but not essential About Us Chisholm is one of the largest vocational training providers in the state with a team of over 1,400 dedicated staff supporting 41,000 students who choose to study at Chisholm and training at our modern campuses across Melbourne’s southeast and online.
