Job Description PURPOSE Create and develop relationships supportive of the Baker Group mission statement with employees, internal and external customers. Additionally, provide opportunities to increase business unit revenues by marketing and cross-selling products and services provided by Baker Group. This includes, but is not limited to, temperature controls and security systems. Manage projects from design to owner training, maintaining and growing the “Customer for Life” concept for both existing and new customers. Provide sales support as needed to secure potential sales, review estimates, initiate sales/operations turnovers, and document scope. Review control submittals, re-estimate, assist in scheduling, revenue forecasting, and price change orders ensuring customer labor rates and markups are met. Review and set goals for operations team members. Responsible for project execution coordination, documentation, financials, and customer satisfaction. Perform related duties as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Understand building automation systems. Offer and implement solutions to customers through engineering and field personnel. Develop relationships with existing customers and pursue opportunities for long-term relationships and revenue growth, including cross-selling and cold calling. Educate customers on Baker Group capabilities, including building automation and cross-selling capabilities across other business units. Develop solutions using internal estimating software and standard product selections. Review solutions with team members before submission to ensure deliverability. Act as account manager or single point of contact during project execution. Attend scheduling meetings with Operations Manager and assist with field labor scheduling. Participate in internal and external project meetings, providing communication on requests, proposals, coordination, and reviews. Initiate turnover meetings discussing project scope, safety, timelines, etc., with engineering and field teams. Procure subcontracts for installation using documented formats and obtaining multiple bids. Use standard company documents for business development, checklists, turnovers, subcontracts, purchase orders, and warranties. Manage projects to ensure financial success. Ensure accurate daily reporting of time and equipment. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Experience in Automation and HVAC systems. Experience in estimating and managing automation projects, and developing customer relationships. Willingness to travel and/or relocate. Successfully pass drug test and background check. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
