The Role Ascora is hiring a senior engineer to lead the next phase of their product development. This is a hands-on role.We collaborate and work as one team, however we’re not looking to mentor and want you to have the technical skills needed to hit the ground running and be part of a high performing team. This engineer will work across the full stack, primarily .NET and SQL on the backend, Kendo UI on the frontend, and collaborate with mobile specialists across iOS and Android. You'll play a key role in evolving the system architecture, improving engineering practices, and mentoring more junior developers. You're not only strong technically, you're obsessed in simplifying systems and able to take total ownership from design through to deployment. This role reports directly to the CEO and sits at the centre of technical decision-making. The ideal candidate will be: Experienced in backend architecture and scalable system design Skilled in .NET and SQL, with strong software fundamentals Comfortable working in large codebases and improving them incrementally Capable of leading by example, mentoring, unblocking, and raising the bar Product-minded, with a strong focus on reliability and user impact Who you are: 10 years in B2B SaaS or related product engineering roles Deep experience with .NET, SQL Server, and modern frontend frameworks Strong communication skills with a bias toward written clarity Experience mentoring developers and influencing engineering culture A pragmatic mindset: values simplicity, stability, and long-term thinking Bonus: Experience evolving a SaaS platform into a truly product-led offering.
