Description The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following: Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian accounting standards. Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and tax obligations. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations. Support external audits by coordinating with auditors and providing necessary documentation. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency. Mentor and guide junior team members Profile A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience in a similar role CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) Experience within a big-4 or mid-tier chartered firm preferred Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations. Proven expertise in financial reporting and compliance. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
